Secretary to the Chief of Police

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Under direction of the Chief of Police, performs a variety of confidential and highly responsible and complex secretarial and administrative duties in support of the Police Department; participates in coordinating the operation of the administrative support functions of the Police Department; coordinates assigned activities with other departments, work groups, outside agencies, and thegeneral public; and provides information and assistance to the public regarding City and departmental programs, policies, and procedures; provides assistance in tracking the various budgets within the police department.

Typing Certificate Required with a minimum of 50 WPM (words per minute).  We will honor typing certificates issued within the last four years, and certified from a five (5) minute typing test that meets the CalHR requirements

Interviews for this position will be held first week in May.
