Gold Bug Park is a collaborative effort between Hangtown’s Gold Bug Park Development Committee and the City of Placerville.

You can contribute to the continued improvement of our historic park by charitable donation or by volunteering.

Hangtown’s Gold Bug Park Development Committee welcomes any and all donations. Your donation is tax deductible as allowed by law, since the Committee is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.

We are currently collecting funds to assist in the Meagher House Restoration Project, and are in the process of applying for grant funding as well. You may mail your check payable to “Gold Bug Park” to 2635 Gold Bug Lane, Placerville, CA 95667.

Volunteer

Time on your hands? Would like something to do? Enjoy working with children?

We can always use volunteers!

The guided tours use scripted material and are easy to do. You will observe and be trained before actually doing a tour.

Working in the gift shop can be lots of fun!

There are 3 hour shifts (half day) or 6 hours (all day) and you pick the day that works for you. Same day each week.

Remember, we are open from 10 AM to 4 PM daily from April through October.
